Each lesson is carefully planned, and a clear objective is established for each lesson. This could be a topic that you found difficult in class, preparing for an upcoming test or working on complex exam style problems to build confidence in a topic.

During the lesson

I use an online whiteboard to create notes. The notes are written live during the lesson while I explain and discuss how to solve a problem. I also use a variety of tools like calculator emulators to show students how to use their calculator for more complex tasks.

Consolidation through Homework

Maths is not a spectator sport. It is vitally important that students spend time working on problems independently. To reinforce the topics covered in the lesson, I set and mark homework after each session.

I offer regular, weekly group sessions tailored specifically for year 11, 12, and 13 students. These classes are conducted both online and in-person, providing flexibility and convenience.

The online groups lessons are limited to five students per group. The small class size allows for effective interaction and individualised support.

Do you only tutor online?
Yes, all lessons are done online via google meet.
What year groups and exam boards do you cover?
All years up to year 13 Further Maths. All exam boards for GCSE and A Level Maths and Further Maths.
What is your availability?
Availability depends very much on preferred lesson time. Weekday after school slots get booked very quickly. Feel free to drop me a message to see what's available.
Will homework be set?
Yes. I set and mark homework after every lesson. This is usually done in discussion with parents and depends on how much work is already set by their school.
