As a highly qualified mathematics teacher with over a decade of experience in the classroom, I bring a wealth of expertise to my role. Throughout my career, I have contributed to the academic success of students in various educational settings, including as a university tutor, within sixth form colleges and, since 2017, at an outstanding independent school in Bromley.
I take immense pride in my approachability as a tutor. By establishing a supportive and understanding environment, I foster a sense of trust and rapport that allows students to comfortably share their difficulties and seek guidance.

Thorough Lesson Planning
Each lesson is carefully planned, and a clear objective is established for each lesson. Handouts are emailed to the student prior to the lesson, this ensures that time isn’t wasted on copying down the question or drawing diagrams. There will never be a case of uncertainty or indecisiveness during our lesson.
Comprehensive Assessment
I review the student’s school exam papers to gain insight into the topics covered and identify the specific concepts that require attention and support.
Consolidation through Homework
To reinforce the topics covered in the lesson, I set homework after each session. Recognizing that schools may have different homework expectations, I engage in open discussions with parents to determine the appropriate frequency of homework.
Exam Style Question Practice
For students in year 9 and above, I incorporate past paper questions into the lesson. Through these exam-style questions, students gain invaluable experience in effectively tackling and mastering the challenges presented in formal examinations.
Understanding Student Needs
I understand that each student possesses varying abilities and goals. I adjust the complexity of the lesson content to alight with their individual requirements and goals.
Group Classes
Group Classes
Group classes provide a cost-effective alternative to one-on-one tutoring sessions, offering excellent value for students seeking quality instruction within a collaborative setting.
I offer regular, weekly group sessions tailored specifically for year 11, 12, and 13 students. These classes are conducted both online and in-person, providing flexibility and convenience.
The online groups lessons are limited to five students per group. For in-person classes, the groups typically consist of 4-5 students, with a maximum limit of eight students. The small class size allows for effective interaction and individualized support.

All exam boards covered
I have tutored students for all the major exam boards; Edexcel, OCR A, OCR MEI and AQA. Although the A level curriculum for all exam boards is largely the same, there are minor differences within each topic. My extensive familiarity with all exam boards allows me to tailor the content to meet the requirements of the student’s exam board.
