GCSE and A Level Maths/Further Maths Tutoring
One to One Tuition - £75/hour
I have over a decade of experience in providing high quality tutoring to hundreds of students ranging from year 7 to year 13. My tutoring approach has consistently garnered 100% positive feedback from students and parents.
My one-to-one tutoring sessions are conducted online, using google meet and an online “whiteboard”. I understand that parents can feel apprehensive about the effectiveness of online lessons, which is why I offer a risk-free solution by offering a money-back guarantee on the first lesson.
Each lesson is thoughtfully tailored to meet the unique needs of the student. In particular,
Each lesson is carefully planned, and a clear objective is established for each lesson. Handouts are emailed to the student prior to the lesson, this ensures that time isn’t wasted on copying down the question or drawing diagrams. There will never be a case of uncertainty or indecisiveness during our lesson.
I review the student’s school exam papers to gain insight into the topics covered and identify the specific concepts that require attention and support.
I understand that each student possesses varying abilities and goals. I adjust the complexity of the lesson content to alight with their individual requirements and goals.
To reinforce the topics covered in the lesson, I set homework after each session. Recognizing that schools may have different homework expectations, I engage in open discussions with parents to determine the appropriate frequency of homework.
For students in year 9 and above, I incorporate past paper questions into the lesson. Through these exam-style questions, students gain invaluable experience in effectively tackling and mastering the challenges presented in formal examinations.
Group Tuition - £30/hour per student
Group classes provide a cost-effective alternative to one-on-one tutoring sessions, offering excellent value for students seeking quality instruction within a collaborative setting.
I offer regular, weekly group sessions tailored specifically for year 11, 12, and 13 students. These classes are conducted both online and in-person, providing flexibility and convenience.
Small groups: The online groups lessons are limited to four students per group. For in-person classes, the groups typically consist of 4-5 students, with a maximum limit of eight students. The small class size allows for effective interaction and individualized support.
High quality resources: Throughout my years of teaching, I have meticulously curated a vast collection of resources covering each topic. All study materials and resources are provided to students at no additional cost.
Experienced and qualified teacher: With over a decade of teaching experience spanning year 7 to year 13 mathematics, I bring a wealth of expertise to the classroom. Through my years of experience, I have developed a deep understanding of the common mistakes and misconceptions that students often encounter in their mathematical journey.
Comprehensive exam board coverage: I have tutored students studying for all the major exam boards; Edexcel, OCR A, OCR MEI and AQA. Although the A level curriculum for all exam boards is largely the same, there are minor differences within each topic. My extensive familiarity with all exam boards allows me to tailor the content to meet the requirements of the student’s exam board.
